Transformational Change for Children

Every day, UNICEF works in some of the world’s toughest places to protect children’s rights, including food, shelter, health and education.

To help children survive and thrive, guests at participating Marriott International properties are invited to make a voluntary donation for each night of their stay.

How to Donate

In our inaugural year of 2023, guests and members donated over $350,000!

Guests who would like to participate in the Check Out for Children program may do so at any time during their stay by speaking with a front desk associate.

The Check Out for Children program is now live in over 500 hotels across 40 countries – and counting! Properties are in Marriott’s Caribbean, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific excluding China.

After check–out, should you have any questions regarding charges incurred as part of the Check Out for Children program, please click here.

Terms & Conditions

Check Out for Children is a voluntary donation program in which guests staying at Marriott properties are invited to donate $1 US (or local equivalent) per night to UNICEF, as itemized on the guests’ hotel bill, an amount that may be increased or removed at the request of the guest. The property collecting the donation will remit to UNICEF entities all funds collected through this program, less bank charges or required taxes, and without any additional fees or deductions. No part of this donation is tax deductible, and participating Marriott hotel guests will not receive a gift receipt from any UNICEF entity. UNICEF does not endorse any company, brand, product, or service. To learn more about UNICEF’s work, please visit www.unicef.org.

Marriott International does not profit from this partnership.
